The pilot of a light aircraft which landed at Macleans Reserve on Sunday is lucky to have walked away unscathed.
The Stoddard-Hamilton Glasair came down at about 2.45pm.
Civil Aviation Authority communications manager Bill Sommer says the pilot made a precautionary landing after engine trouble.
He says the authority will be getting a full report from the pilot to determine the cause.
Mr Sommer says the man was "very fortunate" to have landed unhurt.
Police and the Fire Service attended the scene.
