What should Howick look like in 2060?
Several upcoming meetings seek to get locals discussing the area's future and how to influence it over the next 50 years.
The Design the Future workshops are part of the Towards 2060 project sponsored by Manukau City Council.
They aim to be informative and fun, while providing practical tools and action plans for sustainable development. They will also address "burning community development issues" and inspire participants how to take action to influence Howick's development.
Workshops will be held in the old library building at 16 Fencible Dr on Wednesdays, March 24 and 31, from 6pm to 9pm.

Residents are still welcome if they do not register and it is open to everyone.
