TV time interrupted as car crashes into house
Grandfather Guo Mao was watching TV with three young grandchildren when a car smashed into the window just a metre from where he was sitting.
Luckily it did not penetrate the lounge wall, glancing off, spinning and hitting the garage door.
It happened at about 7pm on October 18, but the next morning the Flat Bush man could still feel the near miss on his left cheek.
Mr Mao's son Kevin also lives at the address but was not home at the time. He rushed home after his wife called with the news.
"It's just crazy, you know," he says.
The car was travelling south on Middlefield Dr. It mounted the kerb, knocking down a lamppost, ploughing through the neighbour's fence and Telecom box, before hitting the Maos' house.
Kevin Mao says nobody was hurt in the crash including the young male driver of the car.
