Workshops teaching people how to make a submission on Auckland’s planned supercity will be held across Manukau city.

English, Maori, Samoan, Tongan, Mandarin, Punjabi and sign language workshops have been organised by Manukau City Council after the Auckland governance legislation select committee called for submissions this week.

Mayor Len Brown says the workshops give residents a chance to learn how to put their thoughts on the government’s proposal for Auckland into writing.

Their contributions are vital, Mr Brown says, and they shouldn’t miss the opportunity to make a submission.

Written submissions close on June 26 and oral submissions will be heard throughout Auckland from July 6.

For information about the workshops see www.manu
