Manukau Courier readers have come to the rescue again.
They've donated an iPhone to a young man who had his stolen just three days after he bought it.
Papatoetoe student Kalani Mose, 17, had saved up for a year to buy the phone, working four nights a week at Middlemore Hospital.
The Manukau Courier featured his story in Friday's issue and received a number of offers of help from readers who were impressed by Kalani's work ethic.
A Waiheke Island couple, who would like to remain anonymous, got in first to donate a replacement phone.
Kalani says he's blown away by their generosity.
"I'd just like to thank them from the bottom of my heart," he says.
