Bomb threat evacuates businesses
Staff are being let back to their workplaces and road diversions have been removed after a bomb threat in South Auckland.
The threat was received just before 11am at the BNZ in central Manukau.
A cordon is now in place around the block and police are directing traffic away from the scene.
Wendy's district manager Pratap Sharma says his four staff were evacuated by police at about 10:55am.
Staff at the BNZ, the nearby Mcdonalds and Joe's Sports Bar have also been evacuated, he says.
Kitchen hand Quini Qi says they haven't been told any more.
None of his colleagues are frightened by the threat, he says.
Police officers at the scene say they cannot comment yet.
