Tom 'The Rhymebosome' McFadden, a Stanford University biologist who raps science lessons, is in New Zealand touring schools ahead of the International Science Festival.

He takes often dry science lessons and raps them to stimulate childrens' interest.

The tour is sponsored by the US embassy and culminates in an 'idol' style science rap competition at the festival.

Entry to the competition is open to the public. Details here.
