A 19-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in a road accident in Napier this afternoon.
Police said witnesses to the accident on Riverbend Rd told police the man had just got out of his car and ran around the front of it into the side of a passing vehicle.
Sergeant Clint Adamson said the man was taken to Hawke’s Bay Regional Hospital.
The serious crash unit were investigating the accident which happened just after 3pm.
