A Whanganui police officer charged with attempting to seek a bribe of sexual favours has appeared in court.
Pre-trial applications for Hayden Clifford Bradley, 30, were heard in the High Court at New Plymouth this morning.
The proceedings, heard in chambers, cannot be made public.
Justice Timothy Brewer reserved his decision.
Bradley is charged with asking for sexual favours from a woman in return for not charging her with a driving offence.
He has been suspended from his job since February.
