Former Black Cap Jesse Ryder has been picked up for $US260,000 ($NZ307,000) by the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL player auction.
Ryder, who had a base price of $US100,000 ($NZ118,000), was the 13th player to be picked up in the auction.
He has not played for New Zealand for almost 12 months but has been in blistering form for Wellington in all forms of the game so far this season.
He recently extended his international exile making himself unavailable for New Zealand's home and away series against England, meaning he will be a available for all of Delhi's IPL campaign.
Delhi is the big-hitting left-hander's third IPL franchise after he turned out for Pune Warriors and Royal Challengers Bangalore in previous editions of the IPL.
New Zealand offspinner Nathan McCullum was picked up for his base price of $US100,000 by the Hyderabad Sunrisers.
While, New Zealand team-mate Martin Guptill and former Black Cap Scott Styris, who both also had a base prices of $US100,000, were not picked up by any of the franchises.
Other notable purchases so far, include current and former Australia captains Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting who both went for $US400,000 ($NZ473,000) to the Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians respectively.
The big surprise of the auction so far is Australian allrounder Glen Maxwell being purchased by the Mumbai Indians for $US1M.
Maxwell has played only eight ODIs and nine T20s for Australia.
