A Kiwiana photo of Andrea Kelly's family camping has earned her a finalist in the search for the ''Kiwiest Kiwi'' in New Zealand.
The Whenuapai mum entered the photo competition because she would love to go on the winning trip to see a real Kiwi with her 13 year old daughter, who has only ever seen the bird once at the zoo.
Andrea says she's a 100 percent born and bred Kiwi.
''There are so many good things about New Zealand and I love exploring and camping around different parts with my family. Living surrounded by water in such a small country is so unique too.''
The nationwide search by Tasti, which celebrates its 80th birthday, involved public voters determining the finalists.
Celebrity judge Rachel Hunter, who is personally involved with the conservation of our national icon, will help decide who will be crowned the Kiwiest of all Kiwis on November 12.
The winners will travel to Forest Lifeforce Restoration Trust's base in the Maungataniwha Forest, Hawkes Bay. They can choose to either help save Kiwi eggs from predators or release adult kiwis back into the wild- and even get to name their very own bird.
