John Staniland of the Forest & Bird Society will talk about the Ark in the Park restoration project in the northern Waitakere Ranges at the Norwest Garden Club's meeting on July 24. Both new and experienced gardeners are welcome to the meeting from 7.30pm at the Kumeu Community Centre, Access Rd. There will be also be plants for sale and supper. Small entry fee. Kids with disabilities
Where's God when it hurts? is a question being tackled at a meeting on August 3 by Charles Hewlett, principal of Carey Baptist College and father of two children with multiple disabilities. The gathering, mainly for families with a child with a disability has been organised by Emmanuel Support, a ministry under the umbrella of Elevate Christian Disability Trust.
