The first Kaukapakapa Festival launches on Sunday. Destination Kaukapakapa has organised a series of events at businesses from November 17 to 24.
The festival starts with a bumper market day on Sunday, with traders, performances by the Ukulele Union and The Musicians, as well as sideshows from Kaukapakapa School.
Festival participants can pick up a passport to take to each participating business during festival week where they receive a stamp.
Once five stamps have been collected, the completed passport must be delivered to one of the participating businesses by November 24 to be in the draw to win more than $500 of prizes offered by Kaukapakapa businesses.
Passports are available from participating businesses, the Kaukapakapa service station and online by searching for Kaukapakapa Festival Week on Facebook.
Extra events on during the week include a quiz night and free yoga sessions. Email email@example.com or call Sarah 027 483 1542 for stall bookings.
