All welcome for free family health checks

WHAT'S COOKING:Sandra Connelly, Te Ha Oranga’s Health Promotion Co-ordinator, demonstrates how to make vegetable puree for babies.

Free mobile health checks are just some of services provided in the South Kaipara district.

Helensville-based Te Ha Oranga is an iwi organisation funded by the Waitemata District Health Board which caters for its community.

Whanau Ora health and education events are held throughout the year in community venues and on marae.

The next Whanau Ora is at Reweti Marae, 1285 State Highway 16, Waimauku, on April 16 from 10am.

All nor-west families are welcome to meet health providers who will provide free health checks and information.

Services include:


Mobile nursing (home or workplace)

Whanau Ora ( family health )

Tamariki Ora (well child nursing)

Alcohol, drug and other counselling

Community health/personal and whanau support about health such as insulating your family home, budgetin and WINZ

Quit smoking coaches (Aukati Kaipaipa)

Breast screening support.


Te Ha Oranga is based at 98 Commercial Rd (next door to the old post office).
