You can choose your Christmas presents while helping raise funds for KingsWay School in Silverdale.
The school hosts its annual Designer Christmas Shopping Night on November 8 at 100 Jelas Rd, Silverdale, from 6pm to 9pm.
Some 52 designers will be at the fundraising evening, with proceeds going to KingsWay School.
The event first started at Silverdale resident Vanessa Gatman's house six years ago after many conversations with other mums who were designing crafts but had no place or confidence to sell them, Vanessa says.
"In the first year I ran the event, we had nine designers. This year we have 52 designers booked," she says.
"I now run the event as a fundraiser for KingsWay School but our emphasis is community.
"We charge shoppers a minimal entry free. We don't charge a lot to have a stall so designers make money out of their labour instead of us."
Vanessa says it is about supporting and encouraging designers so they are able to experience the success of their selling endeavours.
The first 100 shoppers on the night get a goodie bag, and a cafe is available.
Entry is $5.
