Christmas for Gabby Bourne is about getting your community together for a concert.
The 14-year-old from Arkles Bay is organising her second musical show on December 20 for friends and neighbours.
Gabby's inaugural concert had four people performing to an audience of 15, and she hopes this year's will have more performers and a bigger crowd.
"She's also been teaching guitar for two years now to about 11 people, ranging from six years to adults," mum Julie Bourne says.
"The kids involved in the guitar lessons will be in the show, with their friends and family invited. The concert is a great way of bringing families together, and to get into the Christmas spirit.
"The kids also love to dress up and perform in front of their family and friends."
Mrs Bourne says Gabby has always loved music.
"She came second in Whangaparaoa Idol and first place in Whangaparaoa X-Factor. She also played guitar at two weddings last year."
