Odd class photo is a mystery
Birkenhead Primary School is celebrating its 90th jubilee this year and wants to hear from anyone who has information about this picture.
They have been looking through old photos and came across this, a 1922 Primer Three group of boys.
The school says there seems to be an odd mix of things involved – bunches of flowers, one child with a sailor hat, model yachts, possibly a tin-can telephone. They would like to hear from anyone who can explain the image.
They are inviting all past students, staff, board of trustees members and friends of the school to join them at the November 7 jubilee.
It’s a one day event which will include time for photographs, mingling and catching up with old school mates and teachers. There will also be time to wander through the school, talk to current students and their parents, have a sit-down lunch, listen to music and enjoy open mic reminiscences.
This will finish with drinks and nibbles.
The school hopes that this event will draw people back for its 100th jubilee in 2019.
