The Ding Dong Dang Dairy was held up last week.
Police are appealing to the public for any information on a masked Pakeha man who used a large knife to threaten the Hillcrest dairy staff at about 12.30pm on Thursday.
The offender took tobacco before running down Moore St and through Monarch Park and on to Eban Ave where he was last seen, police say.
He discarded a knife, leather jacket and comic adorned hoodie during his escape.
Police say the dairy owners were shocked but unharmed. Police describe the offender as being medium to tall in height and slim. He was wearing sunglasses, a red cloth or bandanna, brown jacket, comic patched hoodie and light blue jeans.
