All wags and smiles for SPCA fundraiser

Dogs of all sizes from a 106kg mastiff to miniature poodles took part in the Champ Wag 'N Walk through the streets of Milford.
More than 1300 dogs and their owners took part in the SPCA fundraiser on Saturday.
The predicted wet weather held off for the event which included a 3km road walk, entertainment, competitions and a dog expo.
Dogs were judged by Shortland Street stars Fleur Saville, Bonnie Soper, Beth Allen and Shaun Edwards-Brown, former Silver Fern goal shoot Tania Dalton and North Shore mayor Andrew Williams.
More than $6000 worth of Champ dog food was donated to SPCA Auckland.
Organiser Scott Rice says it was a great day that celebrated man’s best friend.
"It’s great to see all the different breeds and people getting together with their dogs for a fun day."
The event, which is in its second year, also supported Paw Justice with a mass signing of the petition calling for stiffer penalties for people who abuse animals.
Photographer Lucy Yu captured the wide variety of dogs taking part, including dogs showing off their special skills.
