Electric violinist Hanna Lee has played in front of 80,000 people at a stadium in South Korea.
But she says no matter how big her audience is, she never gets nervous.
"The stage is where I can really be myself, and do anything I like."
Ms Lee is visiting New Zealand and will perform at the North Shore New Life Church in Northcote.
She was born in South Korea and is now based there but has lived on the North Shore and went to Takapuna Grammar School.
Ms Lee graduated from Auckland University in 2004 with a bachelor of music and moved back to South Korea in 2006.
There she studied under and performed with renowned electric violinist Eugene Park.
In 2008 Ms Lee released her first vocal and electric violin album JC maniac. Her style of music is upbeat and modern, to appeal to youth.
Ms Lee says she enjoys the electric violin because it's powerful, and can produce so many different sounds.
The North Shore New Life Church performance is on November 29 at 10am.
