School choir hits high note

North Shore schools cleaned up at this year's Big Sing national choral festival.
Choralation, the Westlake Boys and Girls high school combined choir, received the platinum award.
It is the second year in a row it has won the top prize.
Euphony from Kristin School took home gold while SOS from Rangitoto College and Voicemale from Westlake Boys were both awarded silver.
The Big Sing is a group-singing competition for secondary school students.
Some 7700 singers from 230 choirs took part in 11 regional festivals this year. Eighteen choirs were then selected to take part in The Big Sing National Finale at the Auckland Town Hall.
