Outrageous Fortune star Shane Cortese is getting behind Starship's big clean-up.

The Takapuna resident, along with on-screen wife Antonia Prebble, have donated an exclusive Outrageous Fortune t-shirt that has been signed by the pair for Starship's Spring Clean.

The limited edition tee is up for auction on TradeMe with all proceeds going to the children's hospital.

As a dad Mr Cortese, who plays Hayden Peters on the television drama, wants to do everything he can to help sick children.

When he appeared on Dancing with the Stars he and his dance partner Nerida Lister managed to raise $156,000 for Starship.

The public are also invited to sell their unwanted goods on TradeMe pledging all or part of the sale proceeds to Starship during September.

You can also bid on amazing experiences donated by other celebrities including a walk on part on Shortland St.

Anyone who sells an item through Starship Spring Clean and donates proceeds to Starship will be refunded the auction success fees by TradeMe. The funds raised will go towards re-building the hospital's level six neurological and medical specialty wards.

The re-build will help to improve emotional, social and survival outcomes for critically-ill and long-term patients.

Conditions treated include neurological disorders, brain tumours, head trauma and suspected child abuse injuries and infectious diseases.

Go to www.trademe.co.nz/starship to start bidding on some great items that have been donated.
