Westlake Girls High may not have won the national school's cricket title, but they did set a stunning batting record.

The four-day Taupo tournament was won by Wellington Girls College with Westlake fourth after a third-place playoff loss to Christchurch Girls on the final day.

But it was Westlake's batting that stole the headlines with a record high partnership of 245 runs earlier in the tournament against Blue Mountain College.

Vicky Fuller and Kimberley ter Braak put together the massive knock which allowed Westlake to win the game.

The following day ter Braak was back to prove she's no flash in the pan. Against Waikato Diocesan she partnered Courtney Manning to 213 not out.

Manning, ter Braak and Fuller were all named in the tournament team.
