Bay Of Island Jazz and Blues Festival
Top musicians from NZ, Australia and USA will be performing and venues in Paihia and Russell over the weekend, showing us Kiwis how the blues can rock.
Forty bands will be playing, giving you a huge variety of different styles to dance to, sing along with and just enjoy.
There will be a free shuttle service between venues, meaning you can relax and enjoy a drink with your music, without the worry of driving.

Dargaville Kauri Coast Skydive Carnival
Attention thrill-seekers - if you've ever wanted to make a parachute jump in your home town, now is your chance.
Northland-based Skydive Ballistic Blondes, in conjunction with the Otamatea Aero Club, presents a three-day carnival of big skies and big jumps. Whether you're a first-time jumper or a veteran free-faller, or if you're just content to sit back and watch the spectacle, the Carnival promises to deliver.

NZ Blues Brothers Tribute Show
Love the movie? Then this tribute show will hit all the right notes. Jam packed full of songs, jokes, gimmicks and costumes from the movie, the show is brought to you by top NZ band The Lazyboyz.
Featuring Dean Heazlewood as Elwood (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Ivan Glucina as Jake (vocals, guitar), Tony Baird (bass guitar), Steve Tree (drums and percussion) and Andrew Dixon (saxophone, vocals and keyboards), this will be a night not to be missed.

In Flagrante - Burlesque
Catch an eyeful of Mary Jane O'Reilly's modern and beautifully deviant take on the burlesque revival.
See six exquisite dancers caught in the act with a fetish for leather, nudity in public and a wild equestrian spirit.

Annee 2CU Blues Band
Performing blues like it aint no thang, the Annee 2CU Blues Band will be in residence in and around the Bay Of Islands over two days this weekend.
If you want to see them up close and personal, catch the show at TMO Bar in Paihia this Friday, and again on Satrurday arfternoon. There's no better way to while away a few hours than with a few drinks, some good mates and some great blues licks.
