Keep this Saturday free for the inaugural Kerikeri Half Marathon Street Party.

From 5pm until 9pm the Kerikeri CBD will come alive.

It promises to be a party full of locals plus all the visitors to the area for the half marathon run.

It will feature two bands, nine local vineyards are attending, refreshments and more than 20 food stalls – with local foodies offering their signature dishes from oysters, seafood cocktails and curries to delectable desserts.

The street will be set up to give an alfresco dining experience so party-goers can enjoy the ambience of the creative landscaping and lighting in the street.

There will also be room to dance.

For young families there will be free face painting, balloons and a roaming magician in the early evening.

Local will offer one- time only specials.

Every purchase on the night will go in the draw to win one of three prizes – drawn at 8.30pm on the night.

To win, contestants must be present at the time of the prize draw.

A bus is available from Paihia’s Maritime Building, departing 4.45pm and returning from Kerikeri at 9pm, $5 return. To book call (09) 402-7421 or book at the GreatSights Fullers Office, Maritime Building, Paihia.

The street party is made possible by the donations of Kerikeri and Waipapa businesses.
