A family variety show will kickstart Christmas cheer in plenty of harmony.

Whangarei Harmony Chorus' Christmas Show will run this Saturday at the St Johns Church (Golden Church) on Kamo Rd.

Starting at 2.30pm, the show will feature a great variety of repertoire from Whangarei Harmony Chorus members and friends, including new members from a recent open night.

The Whangarei Harmony Chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organisation for women of all ages singing four-part harmony in the a cappella or barbershop style.

Two quartets will also sing and the audience will be in for a treat with other invited guest artists adding international flair and harmony to the show.

The event will conclude with a special supper plus great raffle prizes will be drawn.

Tickets are $15 for adults or $10 concession and are available through Chorus members or by phoning Wendy at 437 3650 or Sheryl at 430 2255 or 435 3780 (after hours) or from the door.
