It may not have had blue suede shoes but a replica of rock ‘n' roll legend Elvis Presley has produced plenty of laughs at Tutukaka.

The glass model took pride of place onboard charter boat Lady Jess during the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club's Whangaruru Stay Away competition on January 19 and 20.

Elvis is owned by Tutukaka fish smoker Steve Curry, who bought it at auction a few years ago.

The mould is an exact replica of the real Elvis Presley and usually stands in Steve's lounge.
