Police are looking for witnesses to an attack on a young woman opposite a pub in Drury.
The attack came as the 19-year-old was walking along Great South Rd towards the shops around midnight on October 17.
Detective sergeant Dave French says three men came up to the young woman and one assaulted her.
"She’d first started being followed at the cemetery and they kept following her until she got opposite the Jolly Farmer Hotel where the assault occurred."
Mr French says the woman didn’t recognise any of the men who are all described as Maori in their 20s.
Her attacker is said to be 1.75 metres (5’9") tall, of stocky build, clean-shaven, with close-cropped hair.
One of his associates had close-cropped hair, was clean-shaven and wearing a dark t-shirt.
The other had scruffy hair, was unshaven with heavy growth and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
Police want to hear from anyone in the area who might have noticed suspicious activity.
Call Mr French on 295-0200.
