Chocoholic realises her dream
Chocolate addict Anne Walbridge has just scored her dream job.
The Karaka resident has been named an official Cadbury chocolate taster.
TV programme Cadbury Dream Factory is giving seven people the chance to become chocolate tasters.
Any chocoholic who buys a Cadbury product can enter online to win. Anne was first to claim the title.
"To me it's the ultimate dream come true. It's just like in the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," she says.
The mother-of-two also scored $10,000 along with a trip to the Cadbury factory in Dunedin and the chance to try new products before they hit the shelves.
She's already spent her winnings "five times over in her head", she says.
Anne entered the competition a few weeks ago and completely forgot about it. She was about to board a flight to Brisbane when she got the phone call with the exciting news.
Her husband, Heath, saw his wife's name screened as the winner at the end of a Cadbury episode.
"I was sitting on the plane for three hours by myself and couldn't tell anyone," she says.
The couple like to share a bit of chocolate once the children have gone to bed. Anne's favourite is plain milk chocolate but Heath prefers a bit of Caramello. Go to chocolatetaster. cadbury.co.nz for details on how to enter. Cadbury Dream Factory screens on TV3 every Thursday at 7.30pm.
