Two legs are good, but four legs are even better for competing in Clevedon's Auntsfield 4-Legged Race.

In the multisport race teams of four complete a run, mountainbike, kayak and horse ride between them.

The March 29 race is a fundraiser for the Great Potentials Foundation, which works to create safe communities with well-nurtured children and great families.

Those wanting to take things at a different pace can try the new 4-Legged Ramble race.

Four members compete together to complete a 10km to 12km walk over Clevedon's Woodland Stud.

Ramblers will see the other racers in action as they mountainbike, run and ride their courses.

The 4-Legged race will take about six hours for teams to complete. Family and friends can cheer on competitors at the base camp.

Entry for the race or the ramble is $780 a team or $195 a person. All the money will go to Great Potentials.

In previous years the race has raised more than $20,000 for the foundation.

After the competition a prizegiving will be held at Clevedon Cafe.
