Alcohol a factor in crashes

Alcohol was a factor in a Friday night crash when a man's vehicle hit the back of an off-duty police officer's car, Orewa police say.
They say alcohol was also a factor in two crashes in Stanmore Bay on Saturday which saw one vehicle hit a telephone pole and another hit a parked car.
A motorcycle hit a parked car in Whangaparaoa the same day.
