Road death tribute

Rodney residents are joining in a global tribute to road death victims on Sunday, November 15.

Residents are invited to a special ceremony at 7pm at the Orewa Reserve near the Orewa Surf Club to mark World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, raising awareness of the devastating impact road deaths and injuries have on families and communities.

Visitors can add the names of loved ones killed to displays at the Whangaparaoa, Orewa, Helensville and Warkworth libraries. Names will be written on cards and placed on an illuminated norfolk pine at the ceremony.
