State Highway 1 users could face disruption during resurfacing work between Oteha Valley Rd and the Orewa interchange during the next four weeks.
Work will be done between 8pm and 6am, when traffic volumes are light, the NZ Transport Agency says.
Drivers need to take extra care and stay within the speed limits of 30kmh at night and 30kmh to 50kmh during the day.
Truck drivers are asked to keep to the right-hand fast lane to avoid the truck weight damaging the subsurface.
