Pair fortunate to walk from crash

CLOSE CALL: The driver and passenger of the Subaru legacy managed to escape a crash without injury.

Two men were fortunate to get away with only minor scratches after their car failed to take a corner in Manly on Thursday night last week.

At around 8.30pm Manly fire service, along with an ambulance and police were called to the scene on Laurence St.

"The two men had got themselves out of the Subaru station wagon by the time we arrived," Manly fire fighter Shane Kennedy says.

HARD HIT: The roof of the car was pushed down to the top of the doors.

"They were both extremely lucky. The roof of the car was down to where the doors are."

Police are investigating.
