The man was rather surprised to be looking down the barrel of a camera.

A photo snapped of an alleged burglar by a quick thinking neighbour has seen the person arrested by police.

The photo of the surprised 29-year-old alleged intruder looking like a stunned mullet was put on a community Facebook page by the home owner.

The homeowner said in the post her neighbour had confronted the man and took the photo on May 11.

The man, dressed as a tradesman, had allegedly been peering through the window of a door at the woman's Vipond Rd property in the north Auckland suburb of Stanmore Bay.
