Phoenix palm fire called suspicious

Firefighters rushed to put out a burning tree in Blackpool on Monday afternoon.
Three voluntary fire brigade tenders were called out to deal with the "suspicious" fire on Moa Ave.
Fire chief Ron Leonard says the fire is being investigated because of its suspicious nature.
"There was a massive Phoenix palm and a big pile of dead foliage, rubbish and all sorts at the base of the tree and it certainly didn't start on its own – the conditions aren't right. It's being treated as suspicious."
Mr Leonard says embers from the fire under the tree on the boundary of 22 and 20 Moa Ave blew on to the property at No 18 and started a small fire there.
