Statistics New Zealand is looking for 7000 census collectors to work in every part of the country.
Collectors will be visiting every home and dwelling in New Zealand leading up to census day on March 5.
They will deliver internet access codes and paper forms to 1.8 million homes.
Census 2013 general manager Carol Slappendel says the job will involve part-time paid work during a six-week period from February 11 to March 24. Census collectors will work flexible hours from home, although weekend and evening work will be required.
Full training will be provided.
The information collected will be used to make decisions that will shape our future, including hospitals, schools and roads.
Go online to http://jobs. census.govt.nz to apply for a census collector role.
