People interested in learning more about bullying among children are being encouraged to attend a forum on Monday.
It will be at Waiheke Primary School on March 24 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the school hall on Seaview Rd.
Nicole Price, who is an experienced educator, researcher, author and speaker based in Auckland, is in charge.
She has been involved in secondary education for more than 13 years as both a teacher and middle leader.
Nicole's book Y does u H8 Me? Understanding the battle tactics of modern bullying is aimed at helping parents to understand what bullying looks like now.
It details how children and parents can help themselves through bullying situations.
She will share some of her own journey and research results during her session on Monday night, where there will be an opportunity for parents to ask questions.
Waiheke Primary School Parents and Co member Wendy English says all parents are welcome to the koha evening.
"It's for high school children's parents as well as for those who have primary school-aged children.
"Just come along - it's a good opportunity for parents to network and expose all the bullying that is so prevalent.
"It's good for us all to have a face to face conversation."
