Baby drowns after being left in bath

An 11-month-old twin girl drowned in a bath in Henderson on March 3.
Police say the twins were left alone briefly around 10.30am.
They say the mother found one of the children face down in the water and performed CPR until ambulance staff arrived. Detective Michelle Shepherd says the incident is tragic but a reminder of the need for adequate supervision at all times.
"These things can happen so quickly," she says.
"We're only talking minutes – a really short space of time. Parents shouldn't be complacent as babies get older, either.
"It's not any less dangerous to leave them, because they then start to stand up and can slip over in the bath," she says.
