He has been the face of Wendy’s since 1995.
But who is Kiwi Dave and does he flip burger patties for a living?
The man in the television adverts is Dave Vousden of Greenhithe.
He has featured in more than 100 ads for Wendy’s since 1995 and is among the best-known faces on television.
New Zealand Wendy’s founder Danny Lendich was manning the Takapuna branch in 1993 when he first met Dave.
“He came to the store early before we opened. He was living in the area and had heard we were looking for a guy for our ads.
“So I invited him in and gave him a free coffee.
“I told him he better ring head office. The rest is history.”
Dave loves the job and says it has changed his life in many ways.
“I get recongnised every day. I even had people come up to me once when I was at Kuala Lumpur airport.
“Wendy’s has been a really fun company to work with and I get to meet so many people because of the ads.”
