A large number of West Auckland organisations will benefit from an envelope giveaway by New Zealand Post.
New Zealand Post are supporting non-profit community-based initiatives by giving away 1.2 million envelopes including postage through Community Post.
Postage-included envelopes will be given to 275 West Auckland organisations.
The Living and Learning Family Centre in Henderson is one organisation to receive the free postage envelopes.
Director of the Henderson centre Kristina Lainson says the giveaway was a "pleasant surprise".
Other West Auckland organisations who will benefit include Waitakere Triathlon & Multisport Club, Henderson Riding for the Disabled Association, Taupaki Kindergarten and Community Waitakere Charitable Trust.
New Zealand Post's head of sponsorship Nicola Airey says it is important to recognise groups that strive to make a difference.
"Groups like these, with a passion for improving and informing the communities they live in, deserve to be recognised for the excellent work they do."
