The Cup has brought a unique conundrum to the Ewing household in Laingholm.
Brothers Dylan, 28, and Malcolm, 31, are part of the boat-building effort - for opposite teams.
Dylan is with Emirates Team New Zealand, Malcolm is with Oracle.
Their father, Paul says it has made the long campaign a lot more interesting.
"It's made it $1 each way for us. It is win-win on a personal note but it will be great to see the Cup come back here.
"It would be a huge boost for the marine industry," he says.
Dylan is based in Titirangi while Malcolm moved closer to the Oracle base in Matakana.
Both brothers have been tucked away in their respective yards in San Francisco, working at making the boats go that extra bit faster.
"Boat-builders make great sailors," Mr Ewing says. "I do miss them and hopefully they can come back and get a bit of breathing space once it's all over."
