CLASSIC MOTORS: Pre-1985 cars will be on show at the Hibiscus Rodders Beach Festival in Orewa.

Hibiscus Rodders Beach Festival, January 24 to 26 at Orewa Boulevard and Orewa Reserve, Orewa. Hundreds of hot rods on display, live entertainment and family fun. Fundraiser for Westpac Helicopter Trust. Open to pre-1985 cars or cars of American origin only.

FISHY FUN: Kids can enjoy the Blue Light Kids Gone Fishin’ contest.

International Buskers Festival featuring juggling, dancing, comedy, puppetry, mime and acrobatics. These acts will delight and surprise visitors. January 24 to 27, noon and 7.30pm. Various CBD locations.


Mayor's Movie: The Lion King, January 24, 9pm at Silo Park, corner of Beaumont and Jellicoe streets, Auckland. Free admission. This Silo Cinema screening is the film selection of mayor Len Brown and is to launch Auckland Anniversary weekend on the waterfront.



Classic Motorcycle Show, January 25 to 26 at the Vodafone Events Centre, Manukau. A display of veteran, vintage, modern and dirt bikes. Rotary Club of Papakura fundraiser for the education for staff of the National Burn Unit.
