It’s all go over the holiday period for the Mangawhai Heads Volunteer Lifeguard Service, kicking off with beach volleyball on Boxing Day at 4pm.
Head down to the surf beach with a team of five or the club will help you get a team together.
The fundraiser costs the grand sum of $2 per player per game and you can bring the family and friends to cheer you on before getting stuck into a BBQ dinner for $10 a plate.
The following day, December 27, sees a family fun beach day from 10am.
The event includes games for kids and adults, Head Rock swim, little miss and master Mangawhai pageant and a big dig.
Food and drinks will be available.
Get yourself a team together for the raft race on January 4 from 9am. The annual contest runs from from Picnic Bay to the boat ramp.

Lifeguards are on weekend patrols over the summer period.
