It is manga mania this weekend at the Overload NZ Comic and Manga Convention.

The annual event held at the Pullman hotel in Auckland has grown since its birth in the Graphic Novel Cafe (GNC).

Here the GNC committee was inspired by Comiket, the world's largest self-published comic book fair in Japan, to create a convention for Kiwi anime and manga artists to exhibit and sell their artwork.

The event has now expanded to many avenues of Anime and Manga fandom to include local pop-culture artists with more of a western style.

The final day of Overload NZ Comic and Manga Convention runs from 10-5pm today at the Regatta Rooms, Hotel Pullman, Auckland.
