COLOURFUL BUNCH: Fly My Pretties is hitting the road again.

New Zealand's most interesting musical collective are set to take flight once again.

Fly My Pretties are back with a re-imagined show, fresh cast and new songs for the first time since 2009.

Led by Black Seeds frontman Barnaby Weir, the latest re-incarnation of the concept will feature a yet-to-be-announced cast of 16 who will collaborate with contemporary visual artist Hayley King, known as Flox.

The shows will be split into two acts - in the first, Flox will interpret each song from the new album, A Story, into iconic images during the performance.

Act two, Fly My Pretties will revisit some of their classic songs.

"Fly My Pretties will head in an inspiring new direction but still stay true to past shows," says Barnaby Weir.

"I'm really excited about this show because we have a new cast of personalities and a highly skilled visual artist to collaborate with too."

The shows will be filmed and recorded live for release in early 2012.

Catch Fly My Pretties at Auckland's Mercury Theatre on November 10, 11 and 12.

Tickets on sale from Wednesday from Ticketek.
