Conchords add third Vector show
"Business Time" is so good for Flight of the Conchords they've announced a fourth Auckland show on their nationwide tour that goes on sale at 9am today.
Jemaine Clement and Oscar winner Bret McKenzie initially scheduled one show at the Town Hall, but pressure for tickets prompted them to add a second show at Vector Arena, and another which also sold out.
The third Vector Arena performance was announced early today.
Organisers said the performers bowed to "inner city pressure".
"The band are being stopped in the street everywhere they go and being asked to add more dates, so they have bowed to inner city pressure and added a third and final show at Vector Arena," promoters said.
"Squeezing in this new Vector Arena show between sold-out shows on Friday and Sunday gives out-of-town fans the chance to make a weekend of it.
"This show offers a great chance for unlucky fans that missed out on the initial ticket frenzy."
Promoters said the third Vector concert, on June 30, would be the last date added to the tour.
The final two performances are at Vector on July 1 and Wellington's TSB Bank on July 2.
