What's On
It started as the occasional night of folky fun between friends. Now, two years on, The Gunslinger's Ball is putting the country back in New Zealand.
The North Island tour will feature the best-of-the-best as the show hits the road.
Not your average hoedown, the Gunslinger's Ball is a powerful combination of alt-country, raucous blues, rockabilly brashness and punk bristle.
The Ball is Bernie Griffen's baby, and the gravelly country legend will lead the charge with his Americana band Bernie Griffen and the Grifters.
Joining them on tour will be swamp blues, rockabilly, gospel-tinged The Broadsides and singer-songwriter and environmental activist Steve Abel.
After travelling the length of the North Island, the six-date tour will wrap up with two Auckland shows at The Powerstation and Leigh Sawmill.
October 18 - The Cabana, Napier
October 19 - Bodega, Wellington
October 20 - The Mayfair, New Plymouth
October 21 - Gravity, Hamilton
October 26 - The Powerstation, Auckland
October 27 - The Sawmill, Leigh
