What's On
Auckland city centre will be transformed into a live stage later this month with performances from dancers and daredevils.
The Living Room Festival will feature freestyle BMX riders choreographed to classical music, hip-hop fused with digital arts, acrobats and a medley of dance performers including go-go dancers and marching girls.
Most of the shows will take place in Aotea Square and surrounding areas from October 26 to November 4.
A unique solo dance act called Boxed, by UK-based Susanne Thomas, will take place in the Smith & Caughey's store window. Another performance will take place in the back of a bus leaving from Q Theatre.
"The theme for Living Room 2012 is "Transformation" and features live performances, video installations and soundscapes that will turn Aotea Square into a living and breathing artistic hub," event choreographer MaryJane O'Reilly said.
