In less than 24 hours, Taste of Auckland will kick off four days of feasting at Victoria Park.

With a line-up featuring the who's who of Auckland dining, visitors will be able to taste tapas-style plates from more than a dozen local restaurants.

There will also be master classes and demonstrations from the country's top baristas, bartenders and, of course, chefs, and artisan food and produce will be on sale at the market stalls dotted around the park.

This year the event has gone electronic, with visitors getting a 'crown' card to upload with cash to use to buy dishes, which cost between eight and 12 crowns. A glass of wine will cost about seven crowns.
